Shipping policy
General Information
All orders are subject to product availability. If an item is out of stock when you place your order, we will notify you via email before cancelling or shipping your order in part.
With your approval, we may offer you an alternative product or provide you with a date as to when the product is due back in stock.
Order Acceptance and Payment
- Payment in full is required to place an order. We acknowledge receipt of your payment via email, which does not signify order acceptance.
- Acceptance occurs upon dispatch, unless your order is not accepted or cancelled as per our cancellation policy.
- A legally binding contract is established once your order is accepted.
Order Confirmation and Dispatch
After placing an order, you will receive a confirmation email or invoice, followed by a dispatch email containing your tracking number. This allows you to monitor the progress of your delivery.
Delivery Time
An estimated delivery time will be provided upon order placement. Delivery times are estimates and start from the date of shipping, not the date of order. These times should be used as a guide only and are subject to the acceptance and approval of your order. Unless there are exceptional circumstances, we strive to fulfil your order within 7 business days of the order date. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. If there are any delays, our team will keep you updated.
Tracking
Tracking is provided for all shipped products. You will receive a shipment confirmation email with a tracking number, which will be active within 24 hours. Once active you can manage your delivery online, this includes changing or selecting your preferred delivery date, providing details about a safe place to leave the shipment or selecting to have this delivered to a neighbour.
Please note, should you instruct the courier to deliver to a neighbour or leave the order in a safe place, we can not be held liable for any deliveries that go missing or astray.
Delivery
All UK deliveries are sent via Royal Mail and are trackable and can be managed via the Royal Mail website. If you are unable to accept the package and it is returned to us, you will be responsible for all return and redelivery charges.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs vary based on the final delivery location and shipping method. To determine the cost, add the items to your cart and proceed to the checkout page where shipping charges will be displayed. Additional fees may apply to remote areas or for large/heavy items, which will be noted at checkout.
Unattended Deliveries
If you are away from the delivery address at the time of delivery, a note will be left with instructions on how to collect your package. This may involve picking it up from a local depot or arranging for redelivery.
Liability for Unauthorised Acceptance of Delivery
Otto Editions is not responsible for unauthorised acceptance at the delivery address. Please ensure you or an authorised person is present to accept the delivery.
Damaged Items in Transport
If you notice any damage to the packaging on delivery, please contact us immediately at info@ottoeditions.com providing photographs and a brief description. Failure to do so may result in us being unable to replace any items damaged as a result.
Insurance
Products are insured against loss and damage while in transit.
Customs, Duties and Taxes
Customers are responsible for all fees incurred during or after shipping, including taxes and duties. Please contact your local customs office if in doubt.
